The Riviera Motor Hotel
The “Riv”, as it was commonly known, was located at 2950 Dougall Ave. at West Grand Blvd. The proprietors were Eugene Labadie and Malcolm Deneau when the photo at top was taken in 1968. It was a popular local landmark and watering hole known for its vibrant bar scene during the 1970s and 1980s. It is currently a strip mall featuring a Wholesale Club.
